• Memorial bench proposed at Sycamore Park for fallen officer (halstonmedia.com) — A former Hastings Police Department officer who later served in Putnam County may soon be honored with a memorial bench at Sycamore Park in Mahopac. Michael Moore’s family is asking the town to approve a bench and plaque near the basketball courts where he spent many hours with his sons, creating a permanent place for loved ones to remember him.
