Suffolk To Host Youth Job Fair With 50+ Employers, Jobs For Ages 14+
The May 13 event in Hauppauge will offer job opportunities, resume help and career resources for young workers and families, officials say.
HAUPPAUGE, NY — The Suffolk County Department of Labor will host a youth job fair featuring more than 50 employers next month.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, May 13, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 370 Vanderbilt Motor Parkway in Hauppauge.
Officials said the job fair is part of Youth Week efforts and is aimed at helping residents — particularly teens and young adults — connect with employers and explore career opportunities.

“Suffolk County is committed to helping our residents who are seeking employment, including those who are seeking their first jobs or pre-apprenticeship programs,” Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine said. “Through the youth week job fair, we are connecting motivated individuals to all types of employers for opportunities.”
The fair is open to job seekers ages 14 and older, with a focus on those entering the workforce for the first time. Employers will also be recruiting for full-time positions, and parents are encouraged to attend and bring resumes as well.

Participating organizations include Camps 'R' Us, Local 138, New York State Department of Civil Service, SCOPE Education Services, YMCA, The Rinx and the NYPD Recruitment Section, among others.
Ahead of the event, job seekers are encouraged to contact the Department of Labor for resume assistance. Free business attire will also be available through the Career Couture program, officials said.
