• Columbian Man Sentenced For Jewelry Theft Ring Involvement (wlea.net) — A national jewelry theft ring that struck a store in Horseheads on April 18, 2024, has led to a 57‑month federal prison sentence for one of its organizers. Prosecutors say the crew hit mall jewelry businesses in multiple states, causing more than $4.4 million in losses, though none of the stolen jewelry has been recovered.
