Boy, 3, Dies After Being Found Unresponsive In Suffolk Pool: Police
The child was found in the pool during a party in Central Islip, police say.
CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — A 3-year-old boy died after being found unresponsive in a swimming pool in Central Islip Friday night, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, the incident took place at about 8:15 p.m. during a party on Bark Avenue. The child, who lived in Brentwood, was attending the party with family members, police said.
Two family members found him and pulled him from the pool, police said.

The child was transported via ambulance to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead, police said.
