• Governor Hochul Marks The Start Of Climate Week Nyc Announcing $80 Million In Grants For Flood Mitigation And Water Infrastructure Improvement Project (longisland.com) — Long Beach is set to receive $6.1 million in state Green Resiliency Grant funding to install porous pavement along Park Avenue, aiming to cut flooding and improve water quality in Reynolds Channel. The money is part of an $80 million statewide package for stormwater and wastewater upgrades, with applications opening in October for additional grants that local officials could still pursue.
