Join us at Chess Club meetup today as the Club observes International Chess Day. The occasion commemorates the founding of the International Chess Federation in Paris in 1924. Designated by the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the UN General Assembly, this event is celebrated annually in July by more than 130 countries worldwide.
The Chess Club meetup will be at the Great Neck Library Main Branch at 159 Bayview Avenue, Great Neck, on Wednesday, July 29, at 1:30 p.m. Please bring your own Chess set. Refreshments will be served.
