• Memorial bench proposed at Sycamore Park for fallen officer (halstonmedia.com) — A Mahopac family is asking the Town Board to approve a memorial bench at Sycamore Park honoring lifelong resident and retired officer Michael Moore, killed by a drunk driver in 2021. The bench, overlooking the Buddy Decker Memorial Basketball Courts, would give his children and friends a lasting place to remember their time together there.
