• Money Repeatedly Stolen From Manorville Shrine Donation Box By Local Man: Police (dailyvoice.com) — Police say a man has been arrested after multiple alleged thefts from the donation box at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Island on Eastport Manor Road in Manorville. Detectives from the Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit tracked the suspect over several reported incidents between late March and mid-April. He was arrested in Lindenhurst and now faces larceny, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief charges. 
• Former wife of Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex A. Heuermann won't attend sentencing next week, attorney says (newsday.com) — Manorville is again named among the Suffolk County locations where convicted serial killer Rex Heuermann said he left victims’ remains, alongside Gilgo Beach and North Sea. As he faces life sentences at an upcoming hearing, his former wife has chosen not to attend, saying she does not want to distract from victims’ families. The case continues to shape how residents across Suffolk, including Manorville, view long-unsolved disappearances.
