• Town approves $130M Melville Town Center project (libn.com) — Huntington’s town board has approved the $130 million Melville Crossing project, bringing 400 new homes and 37,000 square feet of retail to Maxess Road in Melville. The mixed-use development, built under the new Melville Town Center zoning, will include affordable units, public spaces, and walking paths, significantly reshaping the area over the next few years. 
• Former Melville Attorney Sentenced To Jail For Stealing Client Funds: DA (patch.com) — A former attorney whose law office was based in Melville has been sentenced to 90 days in jail, probation, and restitution after admitting to stealing client funds from a real estate transaction. Suffolk County prosecutors say he misused hundreds of thousands of dollars meant to pay off a client’s mortgage and has now forfeited his law license.
