Crews have been working overnight to dry out and repair the waterfront spot, and the owner is already preparing to host a 125-guest party once doors reopen.

• East Rockaway, Lynbrook rocked by nor'easter (liherald.com) — Weekend nor'easter flooding hit several South Shore communities, with officials flagging East Rockaway, Island Park, Massapequa, Merrick, Oceanside and Long Beach as ongoing trouble spots and warning of saturated ground and falling trees. Power crews, town workers and county leaders are still clearing debris, restoring electricity and monitoring high tides, while residents are urged to avoid flooded roads and stay cautious near the waterfront.
