Overnight Flooding Washes Out Stretch Of Route 9 Near County Line

FISHKILL, NY — Overnight flooding has closed a critical Hudson Valley highway.

Route 9, between Van Wyck Lake Road and Clove Road, has been damaged due to flooding and will be closed until NYS DOT can make repairs, according to Fishkill police. The road remained closed through the morning commute, and had not reopened to traffic as of 8:47 a.m.

The entire region remains under a Flood Watch until this evening, according to the National Weather Service.
