Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Weekend Hit-And-Run, Cops Seeking Witnesses

The victim was taken to Health Alliance Hospital from the scene, and later moved to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital.

KINGSTON, NY — A weekend hit-and-run has seriously injured a pedestrian, and has police looking for the person responsible.

On Saturday, at around 11:30 p.m., Kingston Police responded to the intersection of Broadway and Liberty Street on a report of a pedestrian being struck.

The pedestrian that was hit was taken to Health Alliance Hospital from the scene, and then later transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital. The pedestrian has suffered serious physical injuries and is still recovering in the hospital, according to authorities.

The vehicle that struck the pedestrian left the scene and the investigation into the incident is still ongoing, police said.

The Kingston Police Department was assisted in this investigation by the Ulster County Sheriff's Office, The Town of Ulster Police Department, and the New York State Police.
