Thunderstorms Forecast As Major Weather Changes Begin For Hudson Valley

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — It will be a sunny and nice day today, perfect for outdoor activities, then showers and thunderstorms are possible again on Thursday and Friday, according to forecasters.

The National Weather Service says it will be a “beautiful day today, with mostly sunny skies.”

High temperatures today will reach the low to mid-80s in the Hudson Valley, with comfortable humidity levels.

Thursday and Friday are looking more unsettled, with showers and thunderstorms possible both days in the afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service.

“(Thursday) turns very warm and humid with chances for showers and storms in the afternoon but severe weather looks unlikely,” the National Weather Service said.

For Thursday, the main timing for scattered showers and thunderstorms is between 2 p.m. and 11 p.m.

On Friday, there is a chance for showers and thunderstorms, with the likelihood increasing as the day and evening progress, according to the National Weather Service. Daytime high temperatures will reach the upper 80s, forecasters said.

The weekend is expected to be clear and sunny with highs in the low to mid-80s, once again ideal for outdoor activities, according to forecasters.
