Woman Found Bleeding From Neck At Hudson Valley Motel, Resulted From Domestic Violence, Cops Say
Officers responded to the Galaxy Motor Inn, on Windsor Highway, after receiving a chilling early morning emergency call.

NEW WINDSOR, NY — A grisly injury at a Hudson Valley motel was the result of domestic violence, according to police.
The New Windsor Police Department says that on Saturday, around 2:58 a.m., officers responded to the Galaxy Motor Inn, on Windsor Highway, after receiving a report of a woman bleeding from her neck.
Once at the scene, officers found the woman with a severe laceration to her neck. Police administered life-saving aid to control the bleeding. She was then taken by New Windsor EMS to Montefiore-St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh.

Detectives said that a domestic incident had taken place, resulting in the woman receiving the life-threatening injury.
Police arrested 40-year-old Julio Munoz, of the Bronx, and charged him with felony second-degree attempted murder; felony first-degree assault; felony third-degree criminal possession of a weapon; felony aggravated criminal contempt; and felony aggravated family offense.

Munoz was later arraigned at the Centralized Arraignment Part in Goshen, and remanded to the Orange County Jail.
The Town of New Windsor Police Department thanked the City of Newburgh Police Department and the Orange County District Attorney's Office for their assistance in the investigation.
