Join us for an enchanting evening of chamber music as Old Westbury Gardens and Poetica Musica present The Enchantment of Strings on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 8 pm in the intimate and elegant Red Ballroom. The Poetica Musica Quartet will perform a captivating program featuring works by Ravel, Mendelssohn, and Dvořák.
The ensemble includes Eric Wyrick, violin; Eugene Moye, cello; and guest artists Janey Choi, violin; and Michael Roth, viola.
The program features String Quartet No. 12 in F Major, Op. 96 (“American”) by Antonín Dvořák; String Quartet in F Major, M.35 by Maurice Ravel; and String Quartet No. 1 in E-flat Major, Op. 12 by Felix Mendelssohn.

Renowned pianists Javor Bračić and Angelina Gadeliya make their series debut, performing solo and duo piano works by Chopin, Schubert, Fauré, Barber, and others.
The program includes Sonata in A minor by Franz Schubert, Dolly Suite for piano four hands by Gabriel Fauré, Rondo, Op. 5 by Frédéric Chopin, Souvenirs for piano four hands by Samuel Barber, and Crimean Sketches for solo piano by Serhii Bortkiewicz.

Explore your creativity in this hands-on adult education program with our Education Manager! Participants will use a sketch pad, pencil, watercolor set, and brush provided during class while learning techniques for sketching from observation. At the end, take home your finished artwork to display—supplies are for use during class only.
This is a rain or shine program. In the event of rain, class will be held at The Barn at Orchard Hill or inside the Thatched Cottage where participants will paint a floral still life.
Pre-registration required. |&nbsp;$27 per participant |$5 supply fee only for Members
