• From Manhattan to Montauk, a new trail is taking shape (northforker.com) — Plans are moving ahead for the Long Island Greenway, a nearly 200-mile walking and biking trail that will ultimately stretch from Manhattan all the way to Montauk. A key section from Riverhead to Montauk is now in planning and design, promising safer, car-free connections to parks, downtowns, schools, and train stations while boosting local businesses and healthier outdoor lifestyles.
