• Mount Vernon's Intellectus Prep Creates Early College Pathway Through Westchester Community College Partnership (blackwestchester.com) — Families in Mount Vernon can now enroll students at Intellectus Preparatory Charter School to access a new early-college pathway with Westchester Community College, letting eligible scholars earn credits toward an associate degree while in high school. The tuition-free charter school on Gramatan Avenue is accepting applications for grades 6–11, emphasizing early enrollment so students can build academic skills, accelerate high school coursework, and transition smoothly into college-level classes.
