Event Details
Celebrate the Winter Solstice with an evening in three parts — Winter Comes, In the Darkness, and A Glimmer of Light — a story told through music and atmosphere.
The program spans more than a thousand years of music: Gregorian and Armenian chant, medieval Tuscan dances, Baroque song, English, Scottish and French folk songs, and the world premiere of Jody Redhage Ferber’s Chequering the Eastern Clouds, with voices and instruments reaching across the centuries toward the same moment of renewal.
Join us on Saturday, December 19, at 7:00 PM at The Angel Nyack, featuring world-class musicians:
Ilana Davidson, soprano | Krista River, mezzo-soprano | Daphna Mor, recorder | Daniel Lippel, classical guitar | Jody Redhage Ferber, cello and composer
Directed by Ray Cullom.
The evening also celebrates the release of our new album, Serenata Solstice ~ Echoes of Light. CDs will be available at the concert, and the album will be streaming everywhere starting December 19.
