(ebuzztt.com) — Times Square will burst with Caribbean color on August 30 as Tropicalfete's free Pop-Up Carnival takes over Broadway between 46th and 47th streets, inviting New Yorkers to dress in costume and wave their flags. Headlined by soca star Rupee and featuring Brooklyn-based violinist Mapy, the event also includes fitness sessions, steel pan, and official city and state honors recognizing Caribbean cultural contributions.
