• Sharing a common thread (owegopennysaver.com) — Newark Valley’s longtime quilting group, the Valley Quilters, is still meeting every other Wednesday at the municipal building and pouring their talents into quilts for local veterans and neighbors in need. Members from Newark Valley and nearby towns are now creating special patriotic Quilts of Valor to mark America’s 250th anniversary, with about twenty quilts set to be presented to veterans this June.
