• NYSP2I selects awardees for inaugural Community Impact Accelerator Grant Program (rit.edu) — New Rochelle families may see expanded food-waste reduction efforts in school cafeterias thanks to a state pollution‑prevention grant supporting the City School District of New Rochelle and other Westchester districts. The Children's Environmental Literacy Foundation will build on a local pilot to institutionalize share tables, adjust menus, and send student-led waste‑cutting practices home, aiming to reduce food waste and improve access to nutritious, culturally relevant meals.
