Christopher Weisshaar takes command of the 107th Attack Wing, overseeing about 760 airmen. With more than 4,000 flight hours and extensive combat and leadership experience, he’ll guide the unit’s flying operations, training, and readiness. Weisshaar emphasized earning airmen’s trust and preparing them for demanding missions ahead.
   

• Linda Transki passes through Springville on 10 Year Buffalo-Niagara Honor Flight Benefit Walk (springvillejournal.com) — A long-distance charity walk is heading to Niagara Falls this week as Linda Transki treks from Bradford, Pa., to raise money for the 10-year anniversary of Buffalo Niagara Honor Flight. Her June 7–12 journey supports free trips for local World War II, Korean, and Vietnam veterans to visit Washington, D.C. memorials, with all donations going directly to the nonprofit.
