Southold Town Opens Warming Center During Brutally Cold Temperatures
The warming center will be open until 4 p.m. Wednesday.

SOUTHOLD, NY — Southold Town officials are working to protect residents from the brutal cold.
Due to the extreme cold conditions on Wednesday, Southold Town Supervisor Al Krupski, in coordination with the Office of Emergency Management, has activated a warming center for residents in need of a safe, warm space, he said.
The Southold Town Community Center, located at 1170 Peconic Lane, Peconic, will be open as a warming center Wednesday until 4 p.m.

In case of an emergency, dial 911. If you have any non-emergency questions, call the Southold Town Police Department at 631-765-2600, officials said.
