Oswego Harborfest Launches Revamped Membership Program And New Website Ahead Of 2026 Festival (oswegocountytoday.com) — Oswego residents can now join revamped “Friends of Harborfest” membership tiers and explore a fully redesigned OswegoHarborfest.com ahead of the free July 23–26, 2026 festival on Lake Ontario. New benefits range from merch and lounge access to VIP fireworks seating, all aimed at strengthening community support for one of Oswego’s signature summer events.

Oswego City School District: Congratulations to Our Retirees (oswegocountytoday.com) — Oswego City School District is honoring dozens of retiring staff members whose service ranges from just a couple of years to more than four decades. From bus drivers and food service helpers to teachers, principals, and counselors, the district is thanking them for their long-term commitment to local students and families.

Creating opportunities earns Sonya Kedarnath 2026 GOLD Alumni Award (oswego.edu) — A SUNY Oswego 2019 graduate, Sonya Kedarnath, has been honored with the 2026 GOLD Alumni Award for her work expanding educational opportunities for young people. Recognized by the Oswego Alumni Association, she credits her campus leadership experiences in Oswego for shaping her path. Her efforts now support more than 175 Philadelphia students and families through high school, college, and careers.
4. Free admission for Richie Evans Remembered feature at Utica-Rome Sunday (syracuse.com) — Race fans should know there’s no action at Oswego Speedway this weekend, while several other New York tracks are running special events. Utica-Rome will finish the Richie Evans Memorial feature Sunday with free admission before a tribute race for promoter Alex Friesen. From Brewerton to Lebanon Valley, multiple ovals are hosting big-money modified and sprint shows.
5. I'm Not Convinced That Lucid Can Stick The Landing (theautopian.com) — Novelis’ aluminum plant in Oswego is finally back online, restarting its hot mill June 8 after being idled since last September by fire damage. That return is critical for both local jobs and Ford, which relies on Oswego-made aluminum to ramp up truck production. Company leaders say restoring operations here is a key step in stabilizing supply.
