Man Dies After Falling From Nassau Roof: Police (patch.com) — A 51-year-old man died after losing his footing and falling from a first-floor roof at a Forest Avenue home in Locust Valley, within the Town of Oyster Bay. Nassau County police say officers found him with severe head trauma, and he was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital as detectives continue to investigate.

2. Oyster Fest returns October 17 (jericho-news-journal.com) — Oyster Bay residents can gear up for the 43rd Oyster Fest, returning October 17–18 to downtown streets and Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park with food, rides, live music, and local oysters. The town is also seeking volunteers for its shell recycling program and offering a special Sensory Friendly Family Hour Sunday morning so children with sensory needs can enjoy rides before crowds arrive.

Oyster Bay Family Desperate For Missing Puppy's Return (patch.com) — An Oyster Bay family is still searching for Finn, their 8‑month‑old black Labrador who vanished after chasing a deer into the woods in Ridge on September 11. They're asking Long Islanders to watch for a small-built black Lab with a red collar and to text photos and exact locations of any possible sightings instead of calling or chasing him.
