• A nutty idea: Oyster Bay residents 'spread the love' by collecting peanut butter for food pantries – The Long Island Times (litimes.org) — Oyster Bay residents can pitch in to fight hunger by donating peanut butter and other nut or seed butters at Town Hall North on Audrey Avenue starting October 1. The town's collection drive, running through November 15, supports local food pantries and is organized with the Massapequa Farmingdale Men's Club, which says peanut butter is especially valued for its nutrition and long shelf life.
