Robber Makes Off With Cash In Armed Hold-Up At Dollar Tree In Patchogue: Police (patch.com) — An armed robber took cash from the Dollar Tree on Sunrise Highway's North Service Road in Patchogue late Sunday night after displaying what appeared to be a handgun and demanding money from an employee. No injuries were reported, and Suffolk police's 5th Squad in Patchogue is asking anyone with information to contact detectives or Crime Stoppers.
   

2. Patchogue Driver, Who Seriously Hurt Pedestrian, Nabbed For Driving Without A License: Police (patch.com) — Patchogue residents are being urged to come forward with information after a 24-year-old local driver, allegedly unlicensed and wanted on warrants, struck a pedestrian on Route 112 early Sunday. The 43-year-old Patchogue pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken to NYU Langone Hospital – Suffolk in East Patchogue, while 5th Squad detectives in Patchogue continue to investigate.
   

3. Fifteen arrests, seven cars impounded after street takeover shuts down Medford road (greaterlongisland.com) — Police say a roaming street takeover crew tried to stage stunts at Route 112 and Main Street in Patchogue before finally being cornered in Medford, where 15 people were arrested and seven cars were impounded. Suffolk's Street Takeover Task Force reportedly tracked the group overnight across multiple towns after spotting plans on social media.
   

4. Long Island Animal Shelters and Rescues: Where to Adopt, Foster, Volunteer and Help (town.news) — Several animal rescues based in Patchogue, including Almost Home and Hearts of Love Cat Rescue, are highlighted in a new Long Island-wide guide to adopting, fostering, volunteering and donating. Mannes Opera to Present THE SAINT OF BLEECKER STREET in 2026-27 Season (broadwayworld.com) — A new opera workshop in Manhattan will draw directly on a 2008 hate crime in Patchogue, using music and storytelling to examine how immigrants are scapegoated.
