Patchogue Village To Receive More Than $100K Rebate From PSEG For EV Chargers

PATCHOGUE, NY — The Village of Patchogue is expected to receive a rebate check from PSEG on Wednesday for $104,000 for the installation of Electric Vehicle chargers at the Long Island Rail Road train station on Wednesday.

The check will be presented in a special ceremony at Patchogue Village Hall at 11 a.m. It will include village and local officials, as well as representatives from PSEG.

The installation of EV chargers, along with a solar carport, at the LIRR station are part of the village's broader climate initiatives, marking a significant milestone in the village's ongoing commitment to sustainability and climate action.

A ribbon-cutting will be held to EV and Sustainability Fair on April 11, celebrating Earth Month, showcasing clean energy innovations, sustainable living solutions, and the growing accessibility of electric vehicles.

The free and family-friendly fair, sponsored in partnership with the village and Drive Electric Long Island, will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the LIRR station's parking lot.
