Police ID Pedestrian Killed In North Bellport Last Week

NORTH BELLPORT, NY — Police have identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed in North Bellport last week.

Denis Hernandez, 27, of Bellport, has been identified as the man who was killed in a motor vehicle crash on Station Road on June 25, police said. He was in the roadway of Station Road, south of Martha Avenue, when a southbound tractor trailer struck him at around 10:35 p.m., according to police.

He was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in East Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
