Suffolk Fire Officials Urging Residents To Self-Report July 4th Storm Damage

YAPHANK, NY — Suffolk County needs your help.

After the severe winds and rains that blew across the county on July 4, causing significant local damage, county officials from Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Services, in collaboration with the state, have developed an online damage self-reporting tool for residents and businesses to self- report damages to their homes and/or businesses.

The purpose of this form is solely to report damage information that may help the County and the State to develop a request for possible federal assistance programs.

Fire officials are encouraging residents to submit the form
even if the damage is minor. But officials note that the form is not an application for relief programs.
