Revisions to 418 North Division project presented at Peekskill public hearing (westfaironline.com) — A major mixed-use project at 418 North Division Street could bring 158 affordable apartments, a daycare, community space, and 225 parking spots to Peekskill, and the Common Council is still taking public input. Westchester BOL Approves New Tax Relief for Surviving Spouses, Service Members and Disabled Veterans (yonkerstimes.com) — Peekskill homeowners who are surviving spouses of fallen first responders, active-duty service members in combat zones, or seriously disabled veterans may soon qualify for new Westchester County property tax exemptions starting with 2026 assessment rolls. The Board of Legislators unanimously approved four targeted relief measures, and local Legislator Colin Smith, who represents Peekskill, helped steer the package through committee.
   

4. These Hudson Valley School Bus Times May Surprise You, Impact Commute (hudsonvalleypost.com) — Peekskill drivers should know that Peekskill High School's day runs from 8:45 a.m. to 2:40 p.m., shaping when buses will be stopping on local roads. A regional comparison of Hudson Valley bell schedules shows just how widely school start times vary, underscoring why Peekskill motorists need to stay alert for buses throughout the morning and afternoon commute windows.
