Make waves to fight cancer at the 34th annual Swim Across America - Long Island Sound open water swim on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Nearly 1,000 swimmers and hundreds of volunteers are expected to take part in the point-to-point swim from Larchmont Yacht Club to Larchmont Shore Club. Open-water swimmers can choose a 2K, 5K or 10K course; the 10K begins in Glen Cove on Long Island and crosses Long Island Sound to Larchmont. A separate half-mile pool swim will be held at Larchmont Shore Club from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m., and additional pool swims at area clubs all summer long. Participants may also volunteer on land or water, donate to an individual or team, or join virtually through SAA My Way. Since the first Westchester County swim in 1992, Swim Across America - Long Island Sound has raised more than $32 million for its local beneficiaries Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Columbia University Medical Center, Weill Cornell Medicine and Cancer Support Team. Register to swim or volunteer, or donate, at swimacrossamerica.org/longislandsound.
