The NY–PA funded overhaul includes a new deck, sidewalks, drainage, and structural repairs, extending the historic bridge’s life and improving safety for roughly 15,000 daily users.
   

• Swimmer recovered from Delaware River after fatal late summer swim (1strespondernews.com) — Emergency crews from Port Jervis and nearby communities responded after a 58-year-old woman died while swimming in the Delaware River near Westfall, PA, on September 3. Police say she had been in the water with a male companion who reached West End Beach in Port Jervis safely, while her life jacket was later found floating nearby.
