📰 News we're reading

• Jason Bonham Extends Led Zeppelin Evening Tour (kingfm.com) — Jason Bonham is bringing his Led Zeppelin Evening tour to Port Chester's Capitol Theatre on Dec. 3, giving local rock fans a chance to hear classic hits and deep cuts live. The extended fall run includes many East Coast stops, with tickets for all dates going on sale Sept. 16 at 10 a.m. local time.

• Department of Investigation eyes NYPD disability pensions (pressnewsagency.org) — Port Chester gets a brief but notable mention for having turned over more residents without criminal records to ICE than any other local police agency, despite assurances it wouldn't cooperate. The broader piece focuses on New York City policing, pensions, AI regulation, and transparency fights at City Hall, offering context on how state and city policies might indirectly affect Westchester communities.

• This Westchester Village Says it Doesn't Collaborate With ICE. Data Tells A Different Story. (newsfromthestates.com) — Port Chester residents are questioning how often their police department helps ICE after new data show nearly 60 people have been turned over to immigration authorities since 2024, including several with no criminal history. The analysis suggests Port Chester honors ICE detainers at a higher rate than many larger jurisdictions, even as village leaders publicly insist there is little or no cooperation.
