Woman Found Dead Near NYC Park, Police Say

QUEENS, NY — A woman was found dead in a wooded area near a Queens park on Wednesday, police said.

Officers found a 41-year-old woman unresponsive near Forest Park Drive and the entrance to the eastbound Jackie Robinson Parkway around 7:45 a.m.

EMS pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

The city's medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

No arrests have been made. Additional details were not readily available.

The woman's identity has not been released pending family notification.

An investigation remains ongoing.
