Ciderhouse Auction Event Raises more than $20,000 to Support Cancer Care Programs at PBMC
Annual Auction at Riverhead Ciderhouse Brings Community Together to Expand Access to Cancer Screenings, Education and Patient Services

Peconic Bay Medical Center (PBMC) recently hosted its annual auction fundraiser at the Riverhead Ciderhouse to benefit critical health programs across the East End. The event featured auction baskets, raffles and local food and beverage offerings, with proceeds directly supporting preventive care, screenings, wellness education and patient support services for individuals and families throughout the region. As PBMC continues to celebrate 75 years of caring for Eastern Suffolk County, the event was a meaningful reminder of the community partnerships that have helped sustain and expand access to high quality care close to home.
“This event proves the strength of our community and its shared commitment to accessible, high-quality health care close to home,” said Dr. Amy Loeb, EdD, MBA, RN, President of PBMC.“The funds raised through the Ciderhouse Auction allow us to expand essential services that focus on prevention, early detection and ongoing cancer support. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us and contributed to making a meaningful impact.”
Event attendees enjoyed appetizers, beverages and a wide range of curated auction items and raffles, including a 50/50 drawing and door prizes. The event’s strong participation helped highlight the community’s continued investment in strengthening local health care and supporting programs that make a direct difference in patients’ lives. According to Loeb, proceeds will directly benefit PBMC’s Cancer Services and Breast Cancer Programs, which are designed to address the full spectrum of patient needs, from prevention and early detection to education and ongoing support.

“These programs focus on addressing the physical, emotional, social, spiritual and financial efforts of cancer,” said Loeb. “They include free and low-cost health screenings and wellness education workshops designed to identify health concerns earlier, reduce barriers to care and improve long-term outcomes for patients across the East End.”
“Events like the Ciderhouse Auction play a vital role in sustaining and expanding programs that go beyond traditional care,” said Nicole Santos, PBMC’s Vice President for Development and External Affairs. “We try to meet patients where they are and support them at every stage of their health journey.”
