LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY — Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Friday evening in Lake Ronkonkoma, police said. According to police, a man entered the TD Bank, located at 474 Portion Road, around 5:15 p.m. Friday and handed a teller a note demanding cash. The teller complied, and the man fled the bank on foot, police said. Police did not release a description of the suspect or specify how much money was taken. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to contact the Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555 or Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
