Ronkonkoma Beach Closed For 4th Time Due To Bacteria Levels: Suffolk
It was one of three beaches across Suffolk that the county's Department of Health Services advised against bathing on Tuesday.
LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY — Ronkonkoma Beach has been closed for the fourth time, as one of three beaches the Suffolk County Department of Health Services has advised against bathing due to findings of bacterial levels exceeding acceptable criteria, officials said Tuesday.
Gold Star Battalion Beach in Huntington and Venetian Shores Beach in Lindenhurst were also closed.
The beaches will reopen when further testing reveals that the bacteria have subsided to acceptable levels.
