📰 News we're reading

• Provisions Clears A Hurdle (easthamptonstar.com) — Sag Harbor’s Provisions Market just won a key zoning variance, clearing the way to expand into the former Style Bar space without triggering costly traffic studies or affordable-housing conditions. At the same meeting, neighbors on Garden Street clashed with officials over front-step variances and worsening flooding concerns, even as the Z.B.A. approved the controversial application.

• Condos Available by Fall (easthamptonstar.com) — A long-stalled waterfront project at 21 West Water Street in Sag Harbor is moving ahead as luxury condos with a rooftop pool, with revised plans now before the Village Planning Board. Fewer units, new landscaping, outdoor rooms, and a walkway toward Baron’s Cove all raise zoning and variance questions that could affect parking, lighting, and lot coverage on this prominent harborfront site.

• Sag Harbor Chamber Of Commerce Presents: Harborfest 2026 • James Lane Post • Hamptons Event Calendar (jameslanepost.com) — Sag Harbor residents can look forward to HarborFest returning September 19 and 20, with whaleboat races, chowder and clam-shucking contests, and live music spread across Long Wharf, Marine Park, and Steinbeck Park. The Chamber of Commerce urges locals to wander the village, support Main Street shops, and use the festival guide to discover businesses and special spots around town.
