• Saugerties Animal Shelter asks community to help close $2 million gap for new building (hudsonvalleyone.com) — Saugerties Animal Shelter is pushing to close a $2 million funding gap for its long-planned new building, which will replace the cramped former Highway Department space on the transfer station grounds. With construction underway and a hoped-for January 2027 opening, the shelter is asking Saugerties-area residents and Woodstock partners for donations, volunteer help, and support through engraved bricks and room sponsorships.
