Girl Scouts Holiday Light Show Returns To Bayport With New Attractions
The walk-through holiday display at Camp Edey will feature light creations designed by local Girl Scouts, visits with Santa and more.

BAYPORT, NY — Girl Scouts of Suffolk County will bring its annual Holiday Light Show back to Camp Edey in December, featuring an expanded walk-through winter wonderland with illuminated displays designed by local Girl Scouts.
The event will run Fridays through Sundays from Dec. 4 through Dec. 20 at Camp Edey, located at 1500 Lakeview Ave. in Bayport.
The Holiday Light Show, which launched more than 20 years ago, transforms the campgrounds into an "Enchanted Forest" filled with larger-than-life light displays, festive attractions and seasonal activities.

A highlight of this year's event will be "Girl Scout Way," featuring five winning creations from the 2026 Girl Scouts Holiday Light Design Contest. Each design was originally drawn by local Girl Scouts before being custom-built by Camp Edey groundskeepers into illuminated displays standing between 6 and 12 feet tall.
The winning designs include a group submission from Coram's Troop 924, whose Cadette members are Cassidy Furey, Cayla Mendes, Felicia Rubino, Lilianna Rich, Cassandra Howard, Lily Privitar, Madison Samuels, Maiyah Yensi, Mia Rodriguez, Montana Samuels, Ryleigh Garcia-Pendleton and Skylar Emile.

"This event is a beautiful example of how Girl Scouts combine imagination, leadership and community spirit to shine light—literally and figuratively—on the holiday season," said Tammy Severino, president and CEO of Girl Scouts of Suffolk County. "We are proud to showcase these designs and give visitors a chance to see the girls' ideas brought to life in lights."
New this year, local Girl Scout troops will perform live holiday caroling each night.
Visitors can also enjoy the "Chill Zone," featuring lawn games, fire pits and hot cocoa, along with food available from First Class Food Trucks. Families will have opportunities to visit Santa Claus and take photos throughout the illuminated grounds.
The event will also offer a "Cozy Bungalow Package," allowing groups of up to five guests to reserve a private, winter-themed bungalow for 90 minutes. Each package includes admission, seating, portable heat and $50 in food vouchers.
Guests can choose among themes including Nordic Nest, featuring Scandinavian-inspired rustic décor; Holly Jolly Hut, decorated in traditional Christmas colors; Gumdrop Cottage, featuring candy-colored and gingerbread-inspired decorations; and Starlight Shack, featuring twinkling lights, snowflakes and a starry winter atmosphere.
The Holiday Light Show will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
General admission tickets are available starting at $12.50 with an early-bird discount offered through Nov. 5. Regular general admission prices range from $13.50 to $16.50, depending on the date and time selected. Children 2 and younger receive free admission.
