• Car Bursts Into Flames After Crash On Sunrise Highway In Sayville: FD (patch.com) — Emergency crews in Sayville responded after a vehicle veered off the Sunrise Highway eastbound service road at Lincoln Avenue and burst into flames early Wednesday. Suffolk police helped remove the occupant before Sayville firefighters quickly put out the engine fire, and Sayville Community Ambulance took one person to a local hospital for evaluation as officials continue to investigate the cause.
