Sixteen-year-old Julie (Anna Mirodin from Priscilla) thought she’d be hosting a female exchange student for three months—but when the charming and effortlessly cool Juan Jose Mundo (Alexandro Byrd) shows up from Spain, everything changes. The guys want to be him, the girls want to be with him, and poor Julie can’t help but fall head over heels. With the help of her bold best friend Suzanne (Hannah Kepple from Cobra Kai), Julie must find the courage to say how she feels before Juan’s American adventure comes to an end. What follows is a sweet, nostalgic journey through first crushes, loyal friendships, and the courage it takes to speak up for yourself.
