Mini School Bus Rear-Ended With Children Aboard In Shirley Tuesday Morning: Police
There were 3 students, 3 aides, and a driver on the bus — and 1 adult was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police say.
SHIRLEY , NY — A mini school bus was rear-ended by the driver of a BMW Tuesday morning in Shirley, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, the bus was traveling northbound on William Floyd Parkway and attempting to make a right turn onto Moriches Middle Island Road when it was rear-ended by a 2011 BMW at 8:23 a.m.
There were three students, three aides and a driver on the bus, police said.

The BMW driver, a man, was alone in his vehicle and not injured, police said.
One adult on the bus was transported to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk for treatment of minor injuries; there were no other hospital transports, police said.
