Developers say construction is around 40 percent complete and onshore infrastructure is mostly finished, though it's unclear if power will start flowing in October 2026 as once planned.
• 18-year-old man and 17-year-old male arrested for assault (trihamletnews.com) — Police say a white Chevy Trailblazer tied to an assault in Hauppauge later appeared on Lisa Court in Shirley, where a teen allegedly tried to rob a man on an e-scooter. An 18-year-old and a 17-year-old now face assault and attempted robbery charges, while detectives continue seeking another identified teen suspect.
