• Thousands Raised For Mastic Family After House Fire (patch.com) — A Mastic family displaced by a recent four-alarm house fire is getting strong community support, with more than $7,000 raised to help them rebuild their lives. Mastic firefighters, along with EMS crews from the Shirley ambulance company, rescued multiple cats and kept everyone safe, while donations will go toward replacing clothing, furniture, and other essentials during a long rebuilding period.
