MASTIC BEACH, NY — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Mastic Beach on Monday morning, Suffolk police said. At around 10 a.m., a man driving a 2010 Toyota made a right turn onto Flower Road from Neighborhood Road, and struck the man, according to police. The man was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in East Patchogue for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

The U.S. Navy will host its 64th Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) meeting for Former Naval Weapons Industrial Reserve Plant (NWIRP) Calverton, New York (former Grumman facility). 
 
The meeting will be held in a Hybrid (in-person and virtual) format and can be accessed using the free MS Teams webinar application. Attendees will have the option to join the webinar up to 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. The login details are as follows:

The RAB provides an open public forum for the Navy and regulatory agencies to share updates with community RAB members regarding environmental restoration activities at the Former NWIRP Calverton site.
