Shirley Man Swiped 2 License Plate Readers From Intersection: Police
It happened on Moriches-Middle Island Road, near Glen Drive, at around 6:40 p.m. on Sunday, Suffolk police say.
SHIRLEY, NY —A Shirley man is accused of swiping two Axon automated license plate readers installed on utility poles at an intersection in Shirley on Sunday night, Suffolk police said.
Miguel Perez swiped the license plate readers from Moriches-Middle Island Road, near Glen Drive, at around 6:40 p.m., according to police.
Perez, 68, was arrested Monday on Carnation Drive in Shirley,
at around 5 p.m., and was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny. He was issued a Desk Appearance Ticket and will be arraigned on a later date in First District Court in Central Islip.
