Toddler Boy Found Unresponsive In Mastic Beach Pool: Police

A family member found the 2-year-old boy unresponsive in an inground pool at his home, police say.

MASTIC BEACH, NY — A toddler was found unresponsive in a Mastic Beach pool Friday, police said

According to Suffolk County police, the incident took place on Mayfield Drive at 11:17 a.m.

A family member found the two-year-old boy unresponsive in an inground pool at his home; the family member removed him from the water and began CPR, police said.

Police responded and continued CPR until Mastic Beach Volunteer Ambulance personnel arrived, police said.

The toddler was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital in critical condition, police said.
