• Commack couple helps create park honoring breast cancer survivors, after their own ordeal with the disease (newsday.com) — A new cancer survivors park in Commack has opened with key support and funding from the Town of Smithtown and St. Catherine of Siena Hospital in Smithtown. Local couple Tom and Gina Morrissey turned their own breast cancer journey into a community space featuring a ribbon-shaped walkway, memorial stone, and future expansion plans. Residents can even buy engraved bricks to honor loved ones.
